from David Foster Wallace's "Infinite Jest"
"...the soul's certainty that the day will have to be not traversed but sort of climbed, vertically, and then that going to sleep again at the end of it will be like falling, again, off something tall and sheer."

i bust my ass to find a job...any job, you don't even show up for interviews!
can someone please explain to me what is wrong with the people who work at the Post Office? are any of them anything more than human black holes? is the government raising deceivingly ethnic zombie babies in some compound under a desert in wherever the fuck there are deserts and then just sending them when they look old and haggard enough to go work in post offices around the country?
SERIOUSLY.
it's like doing their job is going to kill them! it's like no matter who you are or how nicely you greet them or how completely you put up with their unpleasant demeanor from the get-go they just won't break their icy stare or their lacsadaisical ways.
i'm sorry but i would KILL for their job. KILL...you know what vaguely asian post office worker?! i don't have a paying job right now. i am selling all of my belongings on amazon.com! and do you know what my belongings are worth so far is US dollars?! a touch under $200! do you know how that makes me feel? do you know how lucky you are to get to sit in your slightly adorable little post office worker uniform with your little silk bow tied hanky thing and your gorgeous vintage gold pin and simply enter information on your computer, print out a FUCKING sticker, stick it on a package or envelope or what have you and just toss it into some massive pile of mail?!
i bet you get a nice long lunch break and you probably have benefits and get most holidays off, and you don't have to work on sundays, and you probably don't work later than 6pm on any given day and THAT SOUNDS PRETTY FUCKING GOOD TO ME RIGHT NOW.
so the next time i come in with 7 packages and you look at me like i am the devil incarnate, or whatever is evil in asia, why don't you just realize that in those little packages are things that i care about that i am now forced to sell to people who may not take very good care of them, whereas you sit on a fairly comfortable rolly chair all day listening to "chestnuts roasting on an open fire" or whatever other stupid yet heart-warming christmas song the local radio station is playing GETTING PAID so it could be worse.
SERIOUSLY.

deep thoughts
which do you find more attractive:
- a woman who looks like a man
- a woman who looks like a man that then became a woman
??????????????????????????????????

itinerary
Tuesday, November 25th : Arrive late night in Somerville, MA
Wednesday, November 26th (AKA MY 24th Birthday!) : 12pm - tattoo appt. After that...wherever the wind takes me, or perhaps more specifically Gloucester, MA with Andrew?
Thursday, November 27th : Turkey Day = cooking and hanging with Andrew's family.
Friday, November 28th : ??????
Saturday and Sunday, November 29th and 30th : Hopefully work brunch shifts at Johnny D's so that I have SOME money to my name. This should compensate the funds spent on aforementioned tattoo. I obviously have priorities. Tattoo > Food/Rent/Other normal living expenses.
Monday, December 1st : Drive home? Must check with work to see if it is ok to miss this day.
CAN NEXT WEEK JUST BE HERE ALREADY?!

there it is
EDIT so for practical purposes i have been convinced that the best idea concerning a tattoo of words in braille is to scale down to just one part of this passage.
i have decided to go with the final part, "behold the perfect pantheon of absence"
it actually looks pretty cool, i have been drawing it out myself, and now i am trying to decide if i want to put that actual quote under the braille....not sure yet though!
